End point: eat here.This is a place that listened to their reviews and have acted accordingly. Based on other reviews I had the beef burger and was excellent. Tasty, large, well cooked and reasonable price. My partner had the Barra-burger (fish), also delicious. The chips are all above average, wedges were good. Cider in tap was fantastic, bottled cider was just okay. The stand out was the service: swift and curteous. They even cautioned me that the wedges were large, was I sure I wanted them AND the chips? Got to respect that. The music is still 80s but no one could still reasonably complain is too loud. Most of the time it was completely drowned out by chatter. Views are stunning.
Best vegan nachos I have EVER had (I like them even better than all the non-vegan nachos I've had in the past when I first moved to Australia years ago)!!!! We drove 2 hours just to get another serving before traveling back to Brisbane. Makes me want to cry that I don't know when I'll get to go back again OMG, it was so good. Please don't ever take this awesomeness off the menu You've got a really good thing here.
Great spot and lots of room on the balcony. The counter for ordering food need to be a lot bigger and maybe more inviting to want to buy lots of food. And I'm sorry but the food wasn't good, Not a lot to choose from. I had Chicken parmigiana(would normally not pick this but I did) Chicken schnitzel looked like it had been rolled flat and it was very dry. The sauce had no flavour. And the salad was not tempting and chips were undercooked. I didn't complain about my meal because it seemed like everyone meal was no better. Being such a great looking pub in a prime spot, it really needs great food and fast bar staff.
Another beautiful day on the balcony of the Kuranda hotel. Good food, great warm service, fantastic cold beer and cider.... 4th visit... I'll never get tired of this place. The trip from Melbourne is well worth it.
I'm from Melbourne and down south people are obsessed with Burgers. I'd proudly say this place has one of the BEST beef burgers I've had. The cider on tap was good and all the food we ordered came out quick and was perfectly cooked. The staff were seriously so good and attentive.I would love to go back.
